About Afriqiyah Airways
Afriqiyah Airways is a state owned airline based in Libya which was founded in 2001. The airline operates scheduled flights
to 19 destinations from its main base at the Tripoli International Airport. It has its hubs at the Tripoli International Airport, Benina International
Airport, Musrata Airport and Sebha Airport. It is a subsidiary of the Libyan African Aviation Holding Company (LAAHC), which itself is owned by the Libyan
National Social Fund, the Libyan National Investment Company, the Libya-Africa Investment Fund and the Libyan Foreign Investment Company; the airline is
ultimately owned by the Libyan government.
